The growing need for optimizing business processes has increased demand for data science graduates. The emergence of big data and the continuous advancements of tools and methods for analyzing these data offer promising career opportunities for data science graduates. Interdisciplinary data scientists who can apply theoretical data science knowledge to solve real world problems in the field of business and services are particularly in demand. Data scientists support managers in their fundamental goal of making good (data-driven) decisions. Further, the ubiquitous data collection and processing capabilities enables decision makers to adapt strategies to the fast-changing environment. Solving complex, real-world problems in a variety of fields within industries and services, finance, e-commerce, innovation, healthcare, marketing, and sales and communication requires specialized skills in big data processing, analysis, and reporting and visualization, machine learning, web and computer programming, as well as fundamental knowledge in management. In the bachelor program Applied Data Science, students will master five modules:

Applicants with an equivalent nationally recognized school leaving certificate are invited to apply and will be assessed on an individual basis.
We require math to be a part of any secondary school leaving certificate.
Bachelor English Test Requirements:
All applicants whose first language is not English must provide proof of their English proficiency level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages through one of the following tests taken within the last two years.
Exceptions may be granted by the Admissions Committee if an applicant has completed at least two years of secondary or higher education in the English language.
We accept:
TOEFL Internet-Based Test 76 points (preferred minimum of 22 points in writing).
IELTS band score 6.0 (no sub-score below 5.5 and a preferred minimum of 6.0 in writing).
Cambridge Certificate (First Certificate in English preferred minimum grade B).
Other equivalent English proficiency tests will be assessed on an individual basis.

Applicants who do not meet our admissions requirements for direct entry into the Bachelor degree programs may consider applying for our Foundation Program.
