The 4-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Tourism, Hotel Management and Operations program builds on the curriculum of the 3-year BBA in Tourism and Hospitality Management program and in addition to providing students with state of the art management competencies and leadership skills, students will have a practical training experience in culinary theory and practice as well as restaurant and service management. Sound academic education is perfectly combined with business related training, for only a mind rooted in the real world can solve the current and future problems of the industry. In addition to conveying a sense of service delivery and hospitality, the 4-year BBA program aims at preparing students for taking leading positions in the hotel and tourism industry worldwide, as well as to run their own businesses profitably.
In addition to the curriculum of the 3-year BBA Tourism and Hospitality Management, the 4-year BBA program covers courses in the area of hotel management and operations as well as foodservice management including practical trainings. Courses focusing on personal development and business communications (computer literacy, business English, intercultural communication) are perfect for additional preparation for a career in the hotel and foodservice industries.
Like in the 3-year BBA program , students enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration in Tourism, Hotel Management and Operations have to do a compulsory internship of 450 hours (approximately 3 months) in a national or international company and have a choice between writing a bachelor thesis (recommended for students who consider entering a master program after graduation) or taking additional courses in advanced tourism and hospitality management or completing an additional internship of 450 hours. Students also have the opportunity to study abroad at one of MU’s prestigious partner Universities.
The BBA in Tourism, Hotel Management and Operations allows enrollments in fall (September) and spring (March).
