Junior IT System Engineer (f/m/d)

Part-time (20 hours/week) - starting date: asap

As a member of our IT support team, you ensure that IT keeps running for the users of our University - whether on campus, in home office or "en route".

Main responsibilities:

•    IT-Helpdesk/end-user support 

•    Administration, support and installation of Microsoft Windows 10 OS and Office 365 products

•    Installation and support of end devices and associate software (PCs, notebooks, printers, telephone devices, smartphones) 

•    Ongoing monitoring and support of servers and IT devices

•    Planning, implementation and documentation of security updates such as service packs or patches

•    Support network infrastructure: LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls etc.

•    Further development of IT asset management

•    Implementation of training courses for employees and adjunct faculty

•    Contact person for suppliers

•    Further development of documentation of all IT processes.

•    Completed technical education with IT focus (HTL, LAP or equivalent)
•    Up to one 1 year of professional experience in IT administration and support 
•    Knowledge of common Microsoft technologies, Active Directory & Domain Architecture, Group Policy, DNS, OS Security
•    Basic knowledge of network technology (routers, switches, firewalls)
•    Very good command of BOTH, German and English

•    You are willing to continuously improve your skills. 
•    You have a structured and independent way of working and are solution-oriented.
•    You see yourself as an internal service provider for an international team.

•    As required by Austrian federal law we are obliged to disclose the minimum annual gross compensation for this position, which amounts to EUR 33,011.61 (basis 40 hours/week); the final salary depending on your relevant experience and qualification.
