JOB DESCRIPTION
Students would configure, manage, install and update software and infrastructure components to reduce service delivery times within Frink. Students would also come up with integration of already existing tools or new tools to fully leverage the power of interconnecting services and automating data flow between these. Students would also try to optimise across layers in the infrastructure to optimally integrate hardware, virtual environments, containers and applications.
Students will learn how to translate company and team level requirements into requirements for the IT infrastructure and then find suitable solutions for them. This requires them to make trade offs to either utilize existing infrastructure components, install new ones or replace existing ones with better suitable technologies. Further they will learn how to stabilize IT operations to guarantee that people relying on the infrastructure can work without interruptions. They will also get valuable feedback on how infrastructure changes affect the software development life cycle built on top of it.
