Almost all of the courses count a maximum of 30 participants. All classes are extremely interactive with a high degree of team work, which creates a collaborative and entrepreneurial atmosphere.
120 Partner Universities - opportunities to study abroad
50% of our students study abroad. Additionally to an exchange semester at one of WU's 120 prestigious partner universities, selected students can gain a double degree by doing their 2nd year at Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi (Milan, Italy).
The Master Marketing is a full-time program which takes 4 semesters. Over the course of studies students acquire theory-based knowledge and methodological skills with a strong practice orientation.
First Year
In the courses of the first year you develop the core knowledge and skills. You will gain thorough grounding in the areas of customer-focused marketing and consumer behavior, research tools and planning techniques, as well as strategic and instrumental aspects of marketing. Furthermore, you will start linking ideas from different areas of your study subjects.
Second Year
In the second year students can specialize in the areas of their interests through several electives to choose from. Additionally, students have the option to develop more towards the qualification as a marketing specialist / executive function or an academic / advanced marketing management consulting career. The second year also offers opportunities to gain international experience through an exchange semester at a partner university or – for selected students – through a double degree with the Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi, Italy.

1. Relevant Bachelor's program:
Completion of or enrollment in a relevant Bachelor's program or other equivalent degree program at a recognized Austrian or foreign post-secondary institution. To be considered relevant, the completed program has to meet the following criteria:
The program comprises at least 180 ECTS credits. 180 ECTS credits correspond to three academic years.
45 ECTS credits have to be earned by passing exams in the field of business administration.
Please note: It is not necessary to have completed this program at the time of application, proof of completion of your first-degree program is not required until actual enrollment. Nevertheless the requirements listed above have to be documented within the uploaded documents.
2. Sufficient proficiency in English:
English as native language
Full bachelor's program done in English (at least three years, university confirmation required)
Full master's program done in English (at least two years, university confirmation required)
One of the following valid certificates: TOEFL 100, IELTS 7.0, TOEIC 800, Cambridge English: CAE, CPE or BEC Higher, UNIcert III
A certificate from a university language department confirming the applicant has achieved level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The certificate has to proof that you took one or more tests to assess your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. These skills should correspond to level C1 or higher according to the CEFR. Course transcripts or confirmations about your overall language skills or certain language courses will NOT be accepted as proof of your language skills. If you are not sure whether your language certificate fulfils these criteria, please submit one of the standardized tests mentioned above.
Graduates of WU’s bachelor's program in Business Law and bachelor's program in Business, Economics and Social Sciences already fulfill this requirement
