Whether you want to work in government, a global corporation, academia, or a nongovernmental organization, a degree in International Relations opens many doors. You will learn how to do rigorous and structured research, how to understand and explain a comprehensive range of international relations issues and how to develop scholarly analysis as well as how to apply it. You can specialize in different fields such as European integration studies, Asian security studies, energy politics, terrorism or international law, just to mention a few. Our international classrooms, with students and faculty from all around the world, enhance the different political and cultural discussions leading to a better understanding in the field of International Relations.
Our campus is unique in its access to many of the world’s top international and nongovernmental organizations. Our students frequently obtain prized internships before going on to work for example at one of the Vienna-based intergovernmental organizations or specialized agencies such as the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Organization on Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the Comprehensive NuclearTest-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), or one of the EU institutions.
Other Webster graduates pursue top careers in politics, international business, and national foreign services, or become aid workers for governmental agencies and NGOs.
