The degree programme „MedTech – International Masters Programme for Functional Imaging, Conventional and Ion Radiotherapy" imparts functional understanding and technical knowledge of issues in the fields of functional imaging and radiotherapy.

Functional imaging and radiotherapy especially are considered as one of the most innovative branches with enormous growth rates. Engineers who can act as interface between disciplines are very rare. This study programme offers you the ability to serve as one of these highly demanded engineers negotiating the borderlines of common knowledge fields.

Graduates acquire in-depth knowledge of fundamentals and specific expertise in functional imaging and radiotherapy. The knowledge and experience instructed ranges from physical processes of image generation to the biological interpretation and from physical effects to biological consequences. Specific and methodical skills, inter- and multidisciplinary qualifications characterize this study. Students will be trained to keep the big picture in mind and to recognise the individual specific objectives in relation to each other and thus are able to perform in technical, medical, biological and economical environments.

Lectures in the field of personality development, economics and a radiation protection course conclude this study programme.
