This new master programme is going to start in October 2011, subject to approval of the relevant bodies.
The Master of Business in Emerging Markets Program is a
four semester Master programme with 120 ECTS. The organization of this
programme is full time. The entire study programme is taught in English.
Upon completion of this programme the students will be awarded the
academic title “Master of Arts in Business” (M.A.).
The objective of this Master programme is to provide qualifications for
successful business activities in emerging markets. The programme is
specifically directed towards BRIC countries (Brasil, Russia, India,
China). FH JOANNEUM has entered into strategic partnerships with
universities from these countries to enable students to study abroad for
one or two semesters. Study abroad is, however, not mandatory in this
programme.
The curriculum of this programme is focused on specific courses which
enable the students to understand the peculiarities of emerging markets,
such as political economy and institutions, global supply chain
management and procurement, transnational law and finance. In addition,
the curriculum provides courses which lead to essential skills, such as
foreign languages, negotiations, cross-cultural management and
international project management.
Admission to this programme is possible for applicants with a bachelor degree in business or related areas.
